Landed at Panama at 6:38 PM. Before arriving to Panama we had to switch through a lot of planes when entering Florida. We all had dinner down a block from the Hotel and enjoyed the night in Panama.
Today, we focused on collecting more sample data in the cassava area in Batipa. We used the Pancho and selected 10 boton de oro plants to isolate the plant for getting length x width in pixels for the plant. We did all these measurements in the morning and finished them in the afternoon. I also created a program to calculate the length x width that isolates the plants from the image. After getting some results, we created a presentation and presented around 7 PM. It went really well, but I was kind of nervous presenting, but got kind of used to it as we went. I also bought a lot of souvenirs to take home to family and friends.
Today we all presented our posters of research we did in the field! It went well with only having a couple of days to work on the posters. I struggled with the Spanish portion of the presentation but I pushed through. Right now we are packing and getting ready to leave to David Panamá.
